It was in 1865 that the first vines were planted in the commune of Vérac at a place called Mauvezin. Jean Baudou and his father-in-law then produced the first bottles of Château Coudert-Mauvezin white wine. Jean's daughter, Denise, will marry Paul Coudert and it is thanks to them that the history of Vignobles Coudert truly begins. With the acquisition of some land on the locality "Castagnat" known for the quality of its soil as well as the harvest of chestnuts (castagnat meaning chestnut in Gascon), they will together create the Château Castagnac.
In the vineyard and in the cellar, our team and our agricultural service partners work to maintain the vineyard and develop the wines.
The quality of our wines is one of our priorities. It is our pride! With us, no bad surprises, our terroir, our know-how and our typicity are found in each bottle. As for the packaging, we use specialized bottlers for an impeccable presentation. The satisfaction of our customers is essential. We respond to them by making every effort to respond effectively to your needs. A last minute kidnapping? A barcode change? An unexpected visit to the vineyard? Have confidence in our responsiveness!
After working for more than 10 years as an engineer in the energy sector around the world, I decided to return to my original lands and take up our long family tradition of winegrowers.
I mainly take care of commercial and administrative activities.
My goal is to create lasting relationships with our clients based on listening and responsiveness.

I have always been a winegrower! The lands that I inherited from my father no longer hold any secrets for me.
However, after more than 40 vintages vinified by me, I am always surprised by the specificity and uniqueness that can be encountered each year in a wine.
It was with great joy that I welcomed my daughter to the estate a few years ago to take up the torch. I am committed to teaching him my passion for our profession and the deep respect I have for our beautiful nature.

What are your prices for professionals?

What are your order preparation times for professionals?
For standard packaging, allow 1-2 weeks. For personalized packaging or bottle size or for orders of more than 5 pallets, please contact us.
Do you secure the shipment of your pallets?
All our orders are identified, filmed and taped with guarantee tapes.
I am a private individual, can I order your wines?
Of course ! We welcome you all year round at Château Castagnac for tours and tastings during which you will have the opportunity to buy our wines.
You can also order on our online store (free delivery from 120 € purchase) or find a distributor near you. We offer express (DHL, UPS) or standard home delivery.
Do you take care of customs procedures?
We are authorized to issue all the documents to accompany your shipments whether in France, in the European community or the large export: proforma invoice, DAE, packing list, Certex export, Sanitary analysis certificate ...
What marketing materials do you provide?
We are at your disposal to best meet your specific needs. For example, we can come to your open house events, organize a lunch in our vineyards with your customers, provide you with goodies (corkscrews, glasses) or any other form of support that would be judicious for you.
